Monthly Progress Report: April Fool’s Edition

April Fools Edition

An interesting and little known fact about me, is that I got married on April Fool’s Day. Maybe that was a sign I should have seen, since we got divorced 3 years later…

But in any case I really like April Fool’s Day! It’s also one of Spongebob Squarepants favorite episodes (and I’m a big Spongebob fan).

Enough about me, let’s get down to the good stuff. Each month I like to feature other blogs, authors and posts that I enjoyed. There are so many awesome bloggers, that share a wealth of information, I can’t help but share it.

This is also a great way for me to keep track of my updates and progress for my anti-resolutions and leap list goals.

Guest Posts

This year I plan to publish a guest post on a different site every month. In March I think I got a little carried away :) but here’s the list.

Other Awesomeness (I got a new job)

As mentioned in my March Loan progress report, I got a new job. No worries though, I still have my full-time accounting job, and I’ll be blogging/writing like normal.

I will be working approx 10 hours a week as the Blog and Social Media Manager for Payoff. I’ve been using the website personally to track my debt and goals since November 2011.

I haven’t written much about it, because everything was on the DL. But they found me and it seems like an awesome fit. I really enjoy interacting with readers and the whole community. I’m loving it so far!

Ah ha! So that explains why in your car loan post you used a different progress image :) . Today is my birthday and the story of my birth goes like this (supposedly a true story)

Doctor: Ah Marie you have a lovely little girl.
    Mom (Marie): Really!?
    Doctor: No April Fool’s!

That’s what happens when a friend of the family delivers you.

Omg! That’s a funny April Fool’s story. Your poor mom. :) And happy birthday.

Thanks so much for the mention, Carrie! Also, my Grandparents got married on April Fool’s Day, too (and they’ve been going strong for 50 years!) So I don’t think it was the day – probably just not meant to be!

Aww see that actually makes me feel better! Plus I know another couple who got married on April Fool’s too and they are still going strong. Thanks for the positive comment. :)

Thanks Pete! I appreciate the offer about guest posting, I am really loving your site so that’s great news to me. :) I do try to be transparent and help others get motivated by my progress (or lack thereof). I’m glad you are here to join me on my journey.
