Websites Every Writer or Blogger Should Read

It doesn’t matter if you’re a writer, a blogger (like me), looking to increase traffic to your site or make extra money, the websites listed below are must reads.

They have inspired my writing and blogging, increased my productivity and helped me create engaging content. I look forward to reading their new posts everyday, since they are examples of what I strive for, with my own blog.

 

1. Jeff Goins – Writing, Ideas & Making a Difference

This site focuses on how to write excellent content, whatever the topic. He shares valuable tips and advice; like how to get published in a magazine, or how a website can use marketing effectively to gain readers. His own personal story is inspiring and his message is, that sometimes it’s best to just start over.

 

2. Get Busy Living – You’re Meant to Live an Amazing Life

Follow the journey of how a small idea turned into a massive iTunes success, that brought in $4,739 in one weekend. Benny Hsu is the author of this blog, and his message is to have an epic and maxed out life with a purpose. He offers a Free ebook titled “Getting a Life that Doesn’t Suck”.

 

3. Smart Passive Income – Making Smart Passive Income

This blog is a guide to making money, establishing passive income and creating the best content possible. Pat Flynn is the owner of the site, and also does interviews and podcasts that are available on iTunes. He shares inspiring stores and testimonies from real people with real success.

 

4. ProBlogger – Tips to Help Make Money Blogging

If you’re looking to make your blog the best, this is the right site for you. Darren Rowse is the writer and owner of this blog and offers ways to optimize and build your online brand. He is the author of the ebook “The Blogger’s Guide to Online Marketing – 31 Steps to a Profitable Blog”.

These websites are my secret weapon and all time favorite reference guides, to making my blog the best site it can be. I hope you check these sites out and love them as much as I do.

    I have benefited from so many of these great resources! Another I’ve loved is ThinkTraffic.net and Copyblogger.com.

    I take blogging pretty seriously, so I really appreciated having such great resources to understand both the “big picture” of what blogging can do but also the small intricacies of the process of blogging. Thanks for posting, I know your readers will benefit as well!

    Excellent resources indeed. I think I have a man-crush on Pat Flynn. Every time I feel tired and lazy, I head on over to SPI and it get’s me back in the mood to start working again.
