What is the Amazon Influencer Program?
The Amazon Influencer Program is a great new program that was rolled out by Amazon in 2017! It allows you to make money with affiliate marketing without a blog or website.
You get your very own page on Amazon where you can recommend all of your favorite products in one place, and then share this link on your social media accounts.
As an Amazon Influencer you can quickly curate a list of the best products and share with your followers, making shopping easier than ever.
No more spending hours and hours searching through the Associates portal to find a single link for a product you want to recommend. You can quickly add all of your favorite items and link to your personalized shop page!
Here’s an example of what my shop’s page currently looks like!
I have curated all of my favorite mobile office items that I take with me when I work on the go. I previously detailed each item separately in my mobile office blog post, but this curated list is much cleaner and more simplified.
Join the Amazon Affiliate Program
If you’re already participating as an Associate of the Amazon Affiliate Program, you can easily jump to the next step! Simply sign in with your Amazon Associate account information to qualify as an Amazon Influencer with your existing store ID.
Become an Amazon Influencer
The next steps to getting your personalized online store is to become an Amazon Influencer. Just click here to join the Amazon Influencers for free.
You’ll be prompted to log in using your Amazon Associates account so if you are already an associate, you can use that e-mail address.
The process for creating your Amazon Influencer account can be completed in just a few minutes. After hitting the “Join” button you’ll be taken through a series of quick and easy steps.
1. Choose your qualifying social media account
The first step is to choose your qualifying social media account. The choices currently offered are to qualify through YouTube and Twitter, which are real-time approved, or Instagram and Facebook, which could take up to 5 days to be approved.
My suggestion is to go with the social media account where you have the most amount of followers, so you can speed up the approval process.
When applying as an Amazon Influencer I chose to qualify through my Twitter account (since it has nearly 9,000 followers).
2. Create a new store (or sync a current one)
Once you’ve chosen the social media account to qualify as an influencer, the next step is create a new store, or verify your account information if you’re an existing associate.
You must input personal information such as your name or business name, physical address, and the rest of your shop’s profile.
Since I have been an Amazon Associate member for many years, it’s prompting me to choose my existing store ID.
You can then select two primary categories of products that you plan on recommending to your followers on social media.
It was a little difficult for me to choose just two categories since my blog could fit into three or four of them. So just do your best to choose the top two!
Continue filling out the rest of the form and then agree to the terms and conditions.
As you finish filling out your profile you will come to a page that will either confirm that your account has been verified, or that you need to complete additional steps.
This will prompt you to continue filling out your profile information, where you can choose your page’s Title, Tagline, profile image, and social media links.
3. Create your personalized shop
After filling out a couple of questions (like how you heard about the Amazon Influencer program) you will see a preview of what your shop will look like.
At this point you can click the “Continue” button and you’re nearly ready to complete your personalized shop. You can now start adding your favorite products your page!
To add a new product to your page, simply follow these steps:
- Use Amazon’s search bar to find your favorite item
- Click on the product you want to share
- On the right side, under the “Add to Cart” button navigate to the “Add to List” dropdown menu
- Choose to add to your Influencer List
That’s it! You just added your first item to your Influencer shop.
4. Link to your shop on social media
Once you’ve added your favorite products to your Amazon Influencer page, you can start spreading the word on social media. You can link to your shop page on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, or even on Snapchat, your blog, podcast, and more!

The Perks of Being an Amazon Influencer
Being an Amazon Influencer comes with some awesome perks that aren’t easily available outside of their program.
Here are just a few of the benefits you should know about!
Promote on Pinterest
In the past, if you wanted to share a link to a group of Amazon products on Pinterest, you had to write up a detailed blog post. You would then link to all the various products, and share the blog post link to your Pinterest account.
Now though, with the Amazon Influencer Program, you do NOT need a blog or website and can simply link directly to your shop’s custom URL.
This is especially helpful if you have a bundle of office products you recommend, or an entire outfit you want to share.
You can easily add all of your favorite items to your Influencer shop page and then share this link on Pinterest.
Save Time on Individual Links
Having a dedicated Amazon product page can go a long way to saving time directing followers to a list of individual links.
Not only are you able to promote a group of products at once (as mentioned above) but you don’t have to spend as much time searching for a product on Amazon, going into your Associates account, grabbing the affiliate link, and sharing that link on your blog.
And then there’s the time you save on UPDATING past Amazon affiliate links. The process never really ends, and can take a lot of time.
But not anymore, thanks to your personalized Amazon storefront!
Make Passive Income
Becoming an Amazon Influencer also means making more passive income through your social media accounts. Since signing up for the program myself, you can see that the graph below shows increased affiliate marketing earnings — in just the past week or so!
Simply linking to your shop’s page on Instagram, for example, could mean continuous passive income for you. You can make life easier for your followers since they can see exactly the products you love and talk about on Instagram.

The program is also really easy to use! It only takes a few minutes to get set up and approved (seriously, I was finished in less than 5 minutes).
