No matter how much time you spend online, you have to get out of the house every once in a while to stock up on supplies, and if you’re a true survey addict, it’s natural to resent this time away from your laptop that you could be using to make money with clicks and keystrokes. Ibotta, on the other hand, transforms your transactions in the real world into real money that you can use when you’re on the go or online.

You can even get paid to watch videos with Ibotta.

To get anything out of Ibotta, you’ll need to put in a little bit of work. 2. Get the Honey Extension

We saved the best for last: Honey is one of the coolest new ways to make money on the internet, and we’re thrilled by the potential of this innovative new platform. As soon as you hit the checkout page and see that enticing coupon code box, you can’t help but yearn for the perfect coupon to take down your order total. The only problem is that most coupon sites are bogus or they only tell you about deals that are already obvious. The Honey Extension, on the other hand, takes online coupons to a whole new level.

Instead of having to hunt for coupons for your favorite sites, Honey does the searching for you. This handy extension delivers coupons without any work on your part, which can help you save big. But wait, you ask, what does any of this have to do with getting cash back?

Honey does all the coupon hunting for you.

That’s where Honey Gold Rewards comes in. In addition to supplying you with the coupon codes you need exactly when you need them, Honey also gives you points you can redeem for gift cards. Examples of participating partners include Walmart, Amazon, and Starbucks, so the sky is the limit when it comes to the potential rewards you can get from the Honey extension.

Here’s how it works: Receipt Hog will pay you in points for your receipts which you can use to redeem for free gift cards or even cash. Just take pictures of your  receipts and you’ll earn points towards free gift card codes (or you can cash out to your Amazon or PayPal account). That’s it.

11. Sign up for Ebates

Do you like the idea of getting a free sign-up bonus? Then you should get onboard with Ebates without delay. This platform has been on the free gift card scene for quite a while, and it has a tried-and-true business model that continues to deliver free cash to consumers like you every day.

Ebates is essentially the biggest affiliate marketer in the world. This platform has partnered with thousands of top brands in the electronics, fashion, and general consumer goods industries, and whenever you click through and make a purchase with an affiliated partner, Ebates will provide you with a portion of your purchase back in the form of a rebate.

This platform can provide you with a rebate because it gets paid a commission for every sale it refers to an affiliated partner. Therefore, working with Ebates is a win-win; Ebates gets a sizable commission from your purchase, and you pay less for your order than you would have without this platform.

Remember how we mentioned a sign-up bonus? When you take the time to make an Ebates account, this platform rewards your hard work with a $10 bonus you can apply to your first gift card. While making money with Ebates requires a couple more clicks for each purchase you make, you’ll understand that your effort was totally worth it when you get your first cash transfer or gift card from this platform.

Bonus: Opinion Outpost

No list of free gift card sites would be complete without an honorable mention to Opinion Outpost. Yes, this platform is just another survey site, and it doesn’t offer anything that’s any more special than the other survey sites we’ve listed.

However, when you’re on your way to being an expert survey taker, it’s always best to have as many tools in your kit as possible. Instead of putting all your eggs into one basket, add Opinion Outpost to your list of sites to hit up on a daily basis, and start earning even more points toward gift cards from your favorite stores like StarbucksiTunes, or Amazon.

The Bottom Line

If you’re going to take advantage of the amazing deals that online shopping offers, there’s no reason you shouldn’t get some extra money for your online purchases. The easiest way to make money is to save money, and whether you earn rewards or get free Amazon gift cards when you shop on online stores, it’s all free money in the end.

Your favorite stores only get better when you earn cash for your purchases, and the first time you get an iTunes or Best Buy gift card simply for purchases you made on your Apple or Android smartphone, you’ll understand that credit card rewards are a thing of the past. When you learn how to turn a simple trip to the grocery store into PayPal cash with the Ibotta app, you’ll never want to go back to shopping the old way again!

  1. Great ideas! I used shopkick for awhile but it took way to long to get any sort of payout to make it worth my time and I have tried on multiple occasions to get on receipt hog but they are never accepting new accounts. I read this article and thought “finally! They are taking new members” Only to click through and be put on the waitlist once again.
